Head Start & CACFP

Early Head Start and Head Start

We offer year-round Early Head Start services to children from prenatal to 3 years of age and Head Start services to children ages 3 to 5 years old, and their families.  Children enrolled in Early Head Start and Head Start experience the same developmentally appropriate education as all children enrolled at Condon Early Learning Center.

We emphasize the role of parents as their child’s first and most important teachers and help build relationships with families that support family well-being in many ways, including parenting education and the support of positive parent-child relationships.

We seek to empower families by developing family goals. Staff and parents develop individualized family development plans that focus on your child’s developmental needs and your family’s social and economic needs. Families that are involved in other programs requiring a family service plan will receive a single coordinated plan so that you experience a seamless system of services.

Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)

Condon Early Learning Center participates in the Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), a federal program which provides free or reduced price meals to children in our center whose families qualify based on federally determined financial guidelines.

We serve a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack every day.  CACFP meals reflect current guidance from the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Meal patterns reflect evidence-based nutrition science, include diverse and culturally appropriate foods, and address the dietary needs of children.

Condon ELC complies with the USDA Non-Discrimination Statement at all times.
