Our Curriculum Philosophy

At Condon Early Learning Center, our curriculum is steeped in the research based Constructivist theory which demonstrates that children construct their own knowledge through play. Our days are filled with active involvement, meaningful experimentation and reinforcement through repetition.

Sensory, motor, perceptual and language skills are introduced through materials and activities which are both child and teacher directed. Work is planned which emphasizes the process rather than the product, fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride.

We treat each child as an individual, working from the level each child has attained and moving forward one step at a time. Together we teach love of learning by encouraging children to actively participate in the decision making process of lesson and activity planning.

Through our curriculum, we support children's desire to be life-long learners.
